We have an interesting rumor to pass your way about a big change that is coming to RAW and Smackdown Live.
This rumor comes from Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), who says that there will no longer be any wrestling during commercial breaks.
Here is what he said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“You know why they’re doing best of three falls? Apparently there was a meeting last week and Vince just told everybody there’s no more wrestling during commercial breaks.”
So basically you can have a match that goes through a break but you can’t have wrestling that goes through a break so you have to have multi-fall matches.”
My Take: This definitely seems risky. If I am in attendance and they keep stopping the match for a few minutes, it would take me out of it. Seems like a recipe to kill the live crowd. I wonder how long this will last or if they will just test it out for a few weeks. We will have to wait and see.
