WWE has made some pretty solid free agent signings over the past several months. This includes names like Keith Lee and Matt Riddle, who recently signed with the company and joined NXT.
According to a report from Mike Johnson on PWInsider Elite, WWE is currently “casting a wide net” in terms of looking for new talent to bring in.
Here is a quote from Johnson about who WWE is currently looking at bringing in (via Ringside News):
“I know for a fact WWE is casting a wide net. They are looking at talents in MLW, they are looking at lucha talents, they are looking at Japanese talents, they are looking at Ring Of Honor talents and basically, anybody who’s deal contractually is coming up in the near future. WWE wants to have a conversation with them.”
“They are going to be flush with money in 2019, especially toward the end of the year and they are more than happy and willing to sign as many people as they can if they believe it will better their company and that roster is going to be so jam-packed.”
“There are going to be winners and there are going to be losers and you never know it might be smarter for some of these guys to stay in Ring Of Honor or stay working the independent scene.”
“But who do I see realistically going? Whoever WWE wants to pay the most money.”
Looks like we could be seeing many more signings over the next few months if this is true. Who do you want to see WWE bring in? Let us know in the comment section below.
