Summerslam will be taking place in Toronto on August 10th. This will be the second time that Summerslam has been held in Toronto, with the other time being in 2004.
We have two rumors to pass your way about the event.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the match that will be going on last is Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins. Here is what he said (h/t to Ringside News for the quotes below):
“The Universal Title match, the Lesnar vs Rollins match is going to close Summerslam. It’s going to headline the show. As far as I know it’s going to be the final match on the show for Summerslam.”
Alvarez also says the plan is for Brock and Seth to have a longer match than what we saw at Wrestlemania 35:
“So they’re not going to go in there and do a five minute match. They’re gonna go in there and they’re gonna do a real match this time. So if you’re one of those people who was disappointed with the Mania match, well you’re gonna get a real match coming up at Summerslam. So that is a change.”
My Take: I actually always enjoy Lesnar matches when he is giving it his all. I would be perfectly fine with a 15-minute bout between them in the main event. Seth could really use a great match after feuding with Baron Corbin for the past few months.
How does that sound to you? Let me know in the comment section below.
