Rumor On The Original Plans For The Smackdown Tag Team Title Match At Wrestlemania 35

As of right now, there is not a match confirmed for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania 35.

Some eyebrows were raised when WWE announced that the Hardy Boyz would be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, as they were expected by many to be involved in the Smackdown Tag Team Title match.

We have a rumor to pass your way about what the original plans were for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at the event.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), WWE was originally planning a four corners match for the Titles.

The original plan was going to be the Usos vs New Day vs Sheamus and Cesaro vs Aleister Black and Ricochet. It doesn’t look like this will be the case anymore after Black and Ricochet have been feuding with the Revival on RAW.

My Take: I wouldn’t rule out this match still happening. Instead of Black and Ricochet, it might make sense to involve Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev in their spots. Also, I wouldn’t be shocked if this ended up on the kickoff show for the event.

On a related note, check out the latest rumor on a big change that could be coming after Smackdown moves to FOX.
