Rumor On The Future Of The Street Profits After RAW

The Street Profits made an appearance on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. They didn’t end up wrestling but appeared in a backstage segment.

We have a rumor to pass your way about the status of the Street Profits after their RAW appearance.

This update comes via Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here). According to Dave, this was not an official main roster call-up for the NXT Tag Team Champions. Here is what he said (h/t to Sportskeeda for the quote below):

“There was a lot of politics involved in the Street Profits thing, but they’re still technically NXT wrestlers. It was not a call-up but they are going to be on Raw TV. I think that was a Heyman move to have new faces on the show. When someone starts, you always want new faces, you always want young talent and you want to create new, wild stories.”

It was also noted that WWE is trying to appeal to younger viewers, which is why the Street Profits were used in this spot.

Are you okay with the Street Profits not being called up to the main roster but still making the odd appearance? Let me know in the comment section below.
