WWE introduced the 24/7 Championship a few weeks ago. The Title has to be defended 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As long as you have a referee with you, it is fair game.
So far, we have only seen the belt change hands on episodes of Monday Night RAW and Smackdown Live.
According to a new rumor, that could be changing soon.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer shared some interesting ideas that are being pitched for the Title. Here is what he wrote:
“Ideas have been batted around for the 24/7 title to be defended on YouTube, Instagram and at the Performance Center between shows.”
My Take: If I was WWE, I would also have a Title change at the odd live event. Could really put over the idea that the Title will be defended everywhere. Plus, it could encourage fans to attend live events more often to see a potential title change.
