The WWE Women’s Tag Team belts changed hands on RAW this week. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defeated the IIconics, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, and the Kabuki Warriors to win the titles.
We have a rumor to pass your way about the Women’s tag team belts. Specifically, how Vince McMahon feels about them.
According to Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda, Vince didn’t have any long-term plans for the Titles.
Here is an excerpt from the article, which quotes a source on how Vince feels about the belts:
“Vince didn’t want women’s tag titles. He was under a lot of pressure so he brought them in early without thinking much about it. There was no plan. We still don’t know if there’s any plan.”
My Take: It is hard to dispute this based on the past few months. The belts haven’t been featured on a PPV since Wrestlemania 35, which is really bad. Hopefully Bliss and Cross are able to be booked better than the IIconics were.
