The Extreme Rules PPV event will take place on July 15th at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. We have a few matches already confirmed for the event, including Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Title and AJ Styles vs Rusev for the WWE Title.
A new rumor is making the rounds about a cage match that could be added to the card.
According to WrestlingNews.co, WWE is currently planning a steel cage match for the event. The steel cage match will involve Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens according to the site. [Update: the PPG Paints Arena is now advertising Braun vs Owens in a steel cage match on their website].
The site also says that Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Title is planned for the event. This match happened on RAW this week but interference from Drew McIntyre caused it to end by disqualification.
Take with a grain of salt for now. The Strowman vs Owens match would make sense though in order to give Strowman something to do at the event.
On a related note, here are some of our early Summerslam predictions.
How would you feel about a cage match?
