A rumor has been making the rounds over the past week that Hulk Hogan could have a role at Wrestlemania 36. Not only that, the rumor suggested that Hogan could have a big role on WWE television in the lead up to the event.
We are here to help kill this rumor before it gets any legs behind it.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider was sourced in the rumor and he took to his website to clear things up. Here is what Johnson wrote:
In regard to a story making the rounds attributed to me where I allegedly wrote Hulk Hogan would be in a primary role at Wrestlemania 36, there’s no validity to it. On a recent Elite Mailbag, I was asked about potential WWE Hall of Fame headiners for Wrestlemania 36 in Tampa and while speculating on potential names, noted it was Hogan’s hometown and that the company could always choose to induct the NWO. That quote was then lifted and contrived to fit a false narrative about Hogan at Mania 36. So, for those who asked, no, there is zero to that story.
Good to see him clear things up before that rumor takes off.
