Lio Rush made headlines several weeks ago when he made a joke about Emma’s release from WWE. Rush’s joke drew the ire of many of his WWE colleagues, including Bray Wyatt. Following this there were rumors that Rush had generated some major heat within the company.
On Wednesday night, Rush removed all references from WWE from his social media profiles. He changed his hometown from Orlando (where the WWE Performance Center is located) to Baltimore.
This led to rumors starting that he was released by WWE. We have an update for you.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider posted the following:
“As of this morning, Lio Rush has not been released by World Wrestling Entertainment, PWInsider.com has confirmed”
Update: Lio Rush worked the NXT live event on Thursday night as well. We can officially put this to rest.
