7) Booker T
Someone else to watch out for at the 2020 Royal Rumble PPV is Booker T.
Booker is from Houston, where the Rumble PPV will be taking place. As a result, Booker seems like a strong candidate to make his return during the event. WWE could bring him in for a fun spot during the men’s Royal Rumble match if they want. The company sometimes brings a few legends back for the Rumble and Booker would be a nice fit for this match in his hometown.
Booker has also been teasing an entry on social media over the past few weeks.
I would say that Booker is a solid candidate to make an appearance in some form during this PPV.
6) Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal has been out of action since June after he suffered a knee injury. A few weeks ago, Jinder hinted on Instagram that could be returning to WWE in January. Here is what he said:
“I’ve been spending time doing everything I can to recover & prepare for my return this January! The comeback will be nothing like you’ve seen before…”
This means that Jinder is a candidate to return during the Royal Rumble in January. WWE could decide to save the former WWE Champions return for the Rumble match. Jinder is someone to keep your eyes on as we get closer to the PPV.
5) Ruby Riott
Ruby Riott has been out of action for the past few months after having surgery on both of her shoulders. Her last match came back in May at a WWE live event.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Ruby is being listed internally by WWE for a January 2020 return.
If that is the case, she is a strong candidate to return during the Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2020. She is a big enough name that I think WWE would save her for a surprise return in that match.
