Ronda Rousey was recently interviewed by Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. This was in order to promote Summerslam on Sunday and her match against Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship. This will mark only the fourth televised match of Ronda’s pro-wrestling career.
During the interview, Ronda made an interesting comment about her future in WWE.
It turns out that Ronda is already thinking about extending her WWE career. She says that she originally had a timeline set for how long that she wanted to wrestle but she might change her mind based on how much she is enjoying herself:
“I love this way more than I ever thought I would.
We had a set timeline set, and now we aren’t so sure about it because I love it so much. I guess that’s the best thing that could’ve happened, that I would love it so much it would be so hard to stop. I can see why people have a hard time leaving this industry because it’s such joy to be a part of every day.”
This is pretty interesting because of the rumors from several months ago about Ronda only signing a one-year deal with WWE. Maybe there was some truth to those rumors. Maybe Ronda is now considering doing this for a few more years. I think many wrestling fans would be happy about it based on how good she is already.
How long do you think Ronda will continue to wrestle? Let us know in the comment section.
