Ronda Rousey Injury Update After Wrestlemania 35

Ronda Rousey took part in the main event of Wrestlemania 35 along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Becky went on to win the match after pinning Ronda. As a result, Becky is now the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Champion.

We have an injury update to pass your way on Ronda Rousey.

This comes via Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here). Here is what he said about Ronda:

”I have some news. Ronda has a broken hand, a severely broken hand. She just was diagnosed with it.”

It is unclear when exactly Ronda broke her hand. There are some photos floating around that show Ronda’s hand taped up under her gloves from the past few weeks. That means it could have been something that she has been dealing with for a while and it got worse:

For what it’s worth, Meltzer also disputes the rumor that the finish was a botch and said that the plan was for Lynch to pin Rousey to win the titles. Also, this was scheduled to be Ronda’s last match for a while. With a broken hand, she is going to have to get it taken care of.

On a related note, here is another rumor on Ronda’s future with WWE.
