Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by Tim Fiorvanti of ESPN. He spoke on a wide variety of topics about his career so far. One of these topics had to do with his crowd reaction. As fans know, the topic of Reigns and his crowd response has been heavily discussed over the past few years.
So does Reigns consider himself a babyface or a heel? Turns out, he thinks that he is neither:
“To me, I’m neither. If I’m totally off here, then I’m totally off, but I’m the first of my type. I’m the first true gray area guy … just being what he was born to be.”
He went into more details about his character and how he isn’t a traditional heel or babyface:
“I don’t go out there and act crazy and flail around and be a heel. I don’t come out there smiling and kissing babies, telling each town it’s my favorite town at the end of the night. I keep it real. Sometimes I’m in a good mood. Sometimes I’m in a bad one. I want my character to be as human as possible, but not just a regular human that you see every single day.”
Reigns also says that this allows him some added versatility, meaning that he can work with anyone on the roster and in a wide variety of scenarios. He isn’t held to the traditional norm of babyface vs heel matches.
Triple H also explained why it doesn’t make sense to turn Reigns heel.
