Roman Reigns Sportscenter appearance with former commentator Jonathan Coachman.
Roman Reigns was recently on Sportscenter’s Off the Top Rope segment with former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman. Here were the highlights:
- Says WrestleMania 32 was phenomenal. Main eventing back to back WrestleMania’s was a blessing. He says it was amazing to take on Triple H who is one of the greatest of all time. He says that life is good.
- On how Triple H and Brock Lesnar’s styles differentiate. He says they are completely different guys. Triple H is a ring general. Brock is a beast. He is just pure strength and power. It is very rare for him to find someone who can toss him around like that.
- Reigns says he is the guy around here [WWE]. He shows up everyday and comes to work. He busts his butt for 52 weeks a year and he is really proud of that. He is also really excited about the responsibility of being the top guy in the company.
- He says that when him and the other Shield guys came in to the WWE, there were a lot of older, established guys. He is proud that they were able to come in and put their roots down and establish themselves. He says that ‘this is my house, this is my locker room, this is my arena” right now and that’s the way he looks at it.
- He says the new talent coming in from NXT has been great.
- His advice to new guys coming in is to believe in themselves. They are going to hear a lot of things on social media and other platforms. Believe in yourself and continue doing what your doing.
- He says that AJ Styles has been around the world and competed against the best in the world. He says that now he is with THE company in the WWE and he says that this is his house.
- He jokes that him and Styles got off to a bad start because Reigns is a Yellow Jackets alum (Georgia Tech) and Styles is a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs who are rivals.
- He says him and Styles have great chemistry and they are looking to put on a show at Extreme Rules this Sunday.
- Reigns on his mixed crowd reactions from different cities: “For me I’m learning every single night. That’s why I love this. This is the part of the game that I love, is learning and progressing and getting better. And that’s what I’m gonna do. Continue to be the champ. Continue to be the guy around here. As long as I get better, can’t nobody touch me”.
