A Shield Reunion will be talked about until Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins all officially retire from the WWE. For good reason too, the Shield was one of the best factions we have ever seen in WWE history and was very entertaining. Roman Reigns recently spoke with Ring Rust Radio about a potential Shield Reunion one day.
Here is what he said about a future Shield reunion :
“I’ll always hold the Shield close to the heart. I think we can all say that’s the vehicle that got us out of the warehouse. We spent many hours in that hot, Tampa warehouse trying to get to this point. I definitely one day would want to do it but I don’t see it anytime soon. I think that’s what makes the Shield different is we all broke out and were able to maintain the level of success that we had within the group but now we are doing it as individuals. It’s really nice to be the quarterback out there. You don’t always have to worry and coordinate with everybody else. You just go out there, do your thing, beat some ass, and go home. I always enjoy that part of it. I think the Shield was so special that one day we will have to get it back together.”
I see big money in a Shield reunion but not for a couple years still. Let these guys find themselves as singles wrestlers first. There is still much to accomplish with these guys moving forward including Roman vs Dean, Roman vs Seth and a Shield Triple Threat match. After they do their thing for a couple years bring them back as a faction and it will be an AMAZING moment. Glad Roman is keeping the door open to the possibility.
