ROMAN REIGNS SPEAKS ON IF FAN NEGATIVITY HAS CHANGED HIM, ADVERSITY HELPING HIM

We previously looked at an interview conducted by the Kingston Whig-Standard with Roman Reigns about a variety of topics prior to his WrestleMania 32 match against Triple H. The first part featured Roman Reigns opinion on being booed by fans (Read Here).

This edition features Roman Reigns speaking on if the negative fan reactions not changing him as a person and adversity making him better.

Roman Reigns on if the recent fan negativity has changed him as a person or if it ever will:

“Not as a person. never as a person.I know who I am, I know where I come from and where I want to go. At the end of the day, I’m a dad. I’ll never forget who I am.”

As a wrestler and as an entertainer, he was asked if the adversity of being thrown into a main event role has helped or hurt him:

“I think it’s helped me. That’s what’s cool about what we do. It’s a story, there’s no applause sign. This isn’t on set. This is live, it’s raw. We call it Raw, but it is raw. Emotions come out in the moment. There is no real way to compare that to anything and for me, I think it made me better, it made me learn faster.” Reigns continues: “I was thrown into the fire, thrown into the deep end. And you can either sink or swim. And that’s how you get better. You apply that heat that’s being thrown at you.”

Roman Reigns is facing a lot of adversity right now due to the negative fan reaction he receives and being the top guy in the company so early in his career. WrestleMania 32 will be the biggest test for him to date as he is performing in front of 100,000 people on Sunday. I think a fantastic performance at WrestleMania 32 vs Triple H will go a long way in getting fans in his favor moving forward.

  1. It was more of the same in WWERichmond last night for Roman; sometimes the boos were louder, other times the cheers were. The last couple of Wrestlemanias a solution was found for Vince McMahon’s bad main event ideas. Not this time. Roman could perform better than Daniel Bryan, and cut a CM Punk worthy promo, and lots people will boo him unmercifully. At this point it really doesn’t matter what he does; the dye is cast. His victory celebration will be a disaster. Just a bad situation for him in every way.
