Roman Reigns was recently a guest on the ‘Off The Board’ podcast hosted by Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina. We previously posted about Reigns talking about being a locker room leader and dealing with somebody that has heat with the guys and girls backstage.
During the interview, Reigns spoke about not letting anybody disrespect the wrestling business. His family has been involved in wresting his whole life and the business has always put food on his table.
He also shared what he told CM Punk several years ago about the legacy that he wants to leave in WWE. This was presumably during his first few years with the company.
Here is what he says he told Punk:
“I said this a long time ago, and it’s funny because I said it to CM Punk, but my whole goal is to leave this place better than I found it. I meant that.”
There is no question that Roman has an incredible amount of respect for the wrestling business and WWE. He also said this during the interview:
“People can say whatever they want about me but I was born into this business. This business runs through my veins, if you cut my arm it is WWE that will leak out……
