Roman Reigns and his reaction over the past couple months from the fans has been interesting to say the least. Fans seem split on Reigns with half the arena booing him and the other half cheering for him. There has been plenty of speculation if he would use the negative heat to his advantage and turn his back on the fans (turning heel). Roman Reigns spoke with Ring Rust Radio about a variety of topics before WrestleMania 32, including his relationship with the fans.
On if the fans have turned their backs on Roman Reigns.
“You know, I don’t look at it as turning on the fans, because I don’t think they have turned on me. I still have a really large fan base and supporters that dig what I do. They love my matches and are entertained by my segments. For me, I think I need to stick with what I have been doing. We live in a world where everybody has an opinion and an opportunity to voice their opinions so it becomes a very critical era that we live in. For me, I know who I am, where I want to go, so I am just going to stick to my guns and keep doing what I am doing. It’s making for a loud reaction and that’s all that matters”
The more I hear Roman Reigns speak the more I think the WWE is going to keep his character as is. I don’t think we will see a full on heel turn from him because he is already receiving a louder reaction than most of the heels on the roster. I think we will see Roman become more arrogant and smug towards the crowd like we saw on RAW this week when he called himself ‘THE MAN’.
Let us know your thoughts on Reigns below!
He called himself “THE GUY” not “THE MAN”
And I was delighted to see him get back to having his attitude… I will always like him no matter what he does.
What’s there to say about Reigns? He sucks… and WWE will stick to him.
Roman Reigns is a good wrestler. If he really sucked then the fans who “truly” boo him will cancel their WWE Network subscription & stop watching RAW. Then Vince will hear them loud & clear. . . . . but they dont. They hate Reigns but they continue to watch RAW and continue to subscribe to WWE Network. . . . . they dislike Reigns because its the “cool” thing to do. Simple as that. They love to cheer against him. . . . but they’re still cheering none-the-less.
