7) A Limo Driver Died Trying To Keep Up With His Lifestyle
You are probably thinking that I am joking or exaggerating. I assure you that I am not. Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen’s limo driver had a heart attack trying to keep up with their lifestyle.
Flair tells the story in his book – Ric Flair: To Be the Man. The limo driver had to deal with the late night and early morning antics of Flair and the Horsemen.
He ended up having a heart attack which we have to assume was directly related to what the group put him through with their partying:
“We killed some poor limo driver in Chicago — not literally killed him, but our hours didn’t help, picking us up at three in the afternoon and dropping us off at eight in the morning. Poor Dave had been driving us around for three days when he had a heart attack and died in his sleep the day after we left town. ”
Oh by the way, in that same book Flair says that back in the day he would rack up an annual bill of $60,000 a year for limousine rides. An insane amount of money for someone to spend on limo rides, not for the Nature Boy and his lifestyle.
Crazy stuff. One of the craziest Ric Flair stories that we know.
