There have been a TON of rumors flying around about Rey Mysterio joining WWE over the past week or so. We have some bad news to pass along.
Rey was reportedly injured this past weekend.
Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline reports that Rey suffered an injury at the Northeast Wrestling show this weekend. Meltzer says that it is believed that Rey has torn his left biceps.
According to the report, those who saw Rey backstage after the match say that there was heavy swelling in his left arm. Meltzer doesn’t have any more details other than Rey believes that he tore his muscle.
This obviously comes at a terrible time for Rey. He was rumored to be in serious negotiations for a WWE return. He is also scheduled to wrestle Jushin Thunder Liger at the upcoming Strong Style Evolved event.
