Report On The Scrapped Plans For Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano On RAW This Week

News broke on Thursday that Tommaso Ciampa is currently dealing with an injury. This is obviously a bummer since Ciampa just made his debut on the WWE main roster last week.

Ciampa and Johnny Gargano did appear on RAW but only in a backstage segment. It turns out that there were originally some bigger plans on RAW for Ciampa prior to his injury.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ciampa and Gargano were scheduled for a four-way tag team match on RAW.

This match would have also included Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, Aleister Black & Ricochet and a team that has not been confirmed. The Revival were going to be at ringside for the match.

After Ciampa was not medically cleared, the plans were changed to the Revival vs Black and Ricochet. Black and Ricochet went on to pin the RAW Tag Team Champions on the episode.

Gargano and Ciampa did not end up appearing on Smackdown this week. Gargano was originally planned for a match against Cesaro but that didn’t end up happening.
