Report On The Original Plans For The Main Event Of ‘All In’

The ‘All In’ event is officially in the books. I think that a lot of fans would agree that the event turned out to be a success. The main event saw The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi defeat Rey Mysterio, Rey Fénix, and Bandido.

It turns out that they were forced to change-up the plans for the final match of ‘All-In’

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), the main event match was originally supposed to go for around 28 minutes. Due to time constraints, the main event match got cut down to only 12 minutes. The show had to end at 11:00 PM (EST) due to constraints from PPV providers. They were able to finish the match with only seconds to spare.

Meltzer says that the match between Marty Scurll and Kazuchika Okada went about 12 minutes over what it was expected to. The match went for around 26 minutes, with Okada winning.

Also, it was noted that the match between Joey Janela and Adam Page went a couple of minutes over their allotted time as well.

The main event was fun in the 12 minutes that it got. I imagine it would have been even better if it had gotten 28 minutes.
