There may be some backstage heat on talented WWE announcer Corey Graves. This is according to a report from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here). The heat has to do with some comments Graves made on social media following the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
Here is a quote from Meltzer about Graves:
“It was noted to us that his feelings were understandable but that his statement should have been made privately. There were also people noting that he’s more replaceable than he thinks he is.”
The social media post in question was about Women having rights and freedom of expression. This was a heavy discussed topic about WWE doing business with Saudi Arabia. Here was the post from Graves:
“A drink to remember that no matter how bad WE think we have it, at least our women have rights and we all have freedom of expression. #ifyougetityougetit”
