Report On More Plans That Were Scrapped On RAW This Week

A few days ago, we noted that WWE scrapped the plans for a RAW segment involving Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. The plans were for Becky to attack Ronda in the backstage area. Instead, fans only got a video of them calling each other champ.

It turns out that this wasn’t the only plan that was scrapped from RAW this week.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), WWE had put together a video for RAW to advertise Hulk Hogan’s return at the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Meltzer says that those in production expected it to be aired on RAW. Instead, WWE scrapped the video and quietly listed Hogan’s name on WWE’s website for the event instead.

As was first reported by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Hogan will be serving as the host of Crown Jewel. Meltzer corroborates that report.

Looks like WWE didn’t want to risk more backlash by announcing Hogan on RAW.
