Now that WWE PPV events are co-branded with stars of RAW and Smackdown Live, a common question from fans is if WWE will extend the length of their PPV’s moving forward.
According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, that looks like it will be the case.
The report says that WWE has reached out to their International broadcast partners [SkyTV and InDemand PPV] to let them know that all PPV events will now be starting at 7:00 PM (EST). Kickoff shows will now reportedly begin at 6:00 PM (EST).
This means that all events moving forward will be 4 hours minimum (not including the kickoff show). The report mentions that cornerstone events like Summerslam and Survivor Series will be even longer.
For reference, the main card of Backlash ran for around 3 hours and a half.
