3. CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan – Over The Limit 2012
This match had a great balance of technicality and hard-hitting offense. The match mainly focused on submission moves from both men, showing off how technically sound Daniel Bryan. He really is the master of submission moves.
CM Punk showed how versatile he can be in the ring, countering submission moves with other submission moves. The chemistry between these two was fantastic and you can tell they were connecting and firing on all cylinders, giving the crowd what they wanted. Speaking of which, the crowd was on fire for this match, driven completely down the middle.
They either really favored CM Punk or they really favored Daniel Bryan, which added to the excitement of this match. In my opinion, this match should have been the main event instead of John Cena vs John Laurinaitis. It had everything that a main event championship match should have. Not only that, it was a match for the WWE Championship, it should always be in the main event of a pay-per-view.
In my opinion, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are like Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart when they are in a match together. Two of the greatest wrestlers in the world going head-to-head and giving the crowd the best match that they can have. While it wasn’t as heated as Michaels/Hart, it was a great match!
2. CM Punk vs. The Undertaker – WrestleMania 29
This match is one of my personal favorites, yet I did not rank it as number one on the list. This feud and match had the chemistry, the physicality, the mind games, and the perfect storyline to fuel this feud to new heights.
William Moody aka Paul Bearer passed away on March 5th, 2013, a month and two days away from WrestleMania 29. On an episode of Monday Night RAW, The Undertaker appeared and went to the ring to honor his former manager, the man that made “The Phenom” who he is today. There is an urn in the middle of the ring, The Undertaker does his signature pose, and the graphic appears on the titantron “In Memory of William Moody. ‘Paul Bearer’ 1954-2013.” Then, CM Punk’s music hits.
Punk taunts The Deadman and this sparks the feud leading to WrestleMania. CM Punk seems to have the upper hand in mind games, using Paul Bearer’s urn to play with The Undertaker’s emotions, throw him off guard going into the “Showcase of Immortals.” The build-up intensifies and gets more physical per every interaction between “The Best in The World” and “The Deadman,” bringing in a stipulation to the match: If The Undertaker gets disqualified, then he loses his streak at WrestleMania. Cue the match, hailing from New Jersey….

CM Punk and The Undertaker take turns of controlling throughout the whole entire match. Mind games are being exchanged, brutal blows are being exchanged, Paul Heyman is at ringside in Punk’s corner. This seemed to be the last time we would see The Undertaker at WrestleMania. CM Punk was kicking out of every move The Undertaker had, until “The Deadman” delivered another Tombstone Piledriver…1-2-3, The Undertaker is 21-0, whilst defending the legacy of Paul Bearer in the process.
This feud was what got me back into wrestling, and made me legitimately hate CM Punk as a heel as The Undertaker was one of my favorites. I suggest that this is a match that you should definitely see, as well as the other matches that I listed. This is one of my favorite matches in the WWE.

Interesting list. I’d keep the Meltzer ratings out in the future though… these are your lists, not his, be proud of that!
Not a huge Punk fan myself, but I do think the later punk/cena match on RAW (no idea the date, haha) eclipsed the 11 MITB one. But just my opinion!!
