Possible Substance Roman Reigns Tested Positive For

Roman Reigns shocked the world a month ago when news broke that he had failed the WWE’s wellness policy. Speculation has been brewing on the internet regarding what he took in order to fail. Many things were speculated but nothing really concrete. A report popped up Wednesday night about the possible substance Roman Reigns tested positive for. We should emphasize that this is only one report and take with a grain of salt!

Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, says that word backstage WWE is that Roman Reigns tested positive for Adderall. The report mentions that this is not official as the WWE will likely never make the substance known to the public. Just from what his sources are hearing backstage WWE.

If you are unfamiliar with Adderall, it is a drug that is commonly used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder aka ADHD. It is generally taken to help people remain focused or pay attention. If you remember a couple months ago, Adam Rose also tested positive and revealed it was for ADHD medication prescribed by his doctor.

Why is Adderall a policy violation? In true athletic competition it is considered a performance enhancer because of it’s ability to help athletes remain focused. In professional wrestling it comes in to question if it should be considered performance enhancing because it is scripted. I am no doctor and maybe someone else has the answer to these questions.
