The Shield debut was one of the most memorable in WWE history back at Survivor Series 2012. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose made a huge impact on their first night on the WWE main roster, attacking Ryback. After that they went on to become one of the most popular factions in recent history. They entered through the crowd, they had a unique look and they had solid teamwork. It is hard to imagine them any other way.
Dean Ambrose during his appearance on the Stone Cold Podcast, had an interesting tidbit regarding the Shield’s attire. He said that for the Shield debut, they were actually supposed to bring physical Shield’s with them to the ring as a part of their attire. The idea was obviously nixed before the eventual Shield debut at Survivor Series.
WWE’s Archivist posted the photo on twitter, showing fans what Ambrose was talking about:

I think it is safe to say that we should all be thankful they nixed this idea. The way they made their debut was so great that I can’t even imagine them having to lug those things around with them. One of those things that sounds like a good idea initially but the more you think about it, it doesn’t make sense.
Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Can you imagine them using these things during their original debut? Would it have been a great addition? We want to hear from you!
