NXT taped their next few weeks of television on Wednesday night. As a result, we got some big hints about what the match card could look like at NXT Takeover: War Games 2018. Warning, the rest of this page contains spoilers for upcoming episodes of NXT!
Matches That Have Been Confirmed
Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong) vs. War Raiders, Ricochet, and Pete Dunne – War Games Match
William Regal confirmed that we are getting a 4 vs 4 War Games match this year. Undisputed Era will be taking on the War Raiders, Ricochet and Pete Dunne.
This is the likely main event of the show.
Matches That Seem Very Likely (But Are Not Officially Confirmed)
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Velveteen Dream for the NXT championship
Unless something changes over the next few weeks, it looks like we are getting Ciampa vs Dream for the NXT Title. It wasn’t made official at the taping but was strongly hinted at.
Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black
It was insinuated at the taping that Johnny Gargano was Aleister Black’s mystery attacker. This seems to be setting us up for Gargano vs Black at Takeover.
Matt Riddle vs. Kassius Ohno
In a recent interview, Ohno said that he is sick of being looked over for some of the new talents that have come into NXT. This seems to be teasing a match against a newcomer at Takeover.
A perfect fit would be Matt Riddle, who has a ton of hype behind him right now. The other option would be Keith Lee. I am going with Riddle though.
Matches That Are Still Unclear
NXT Women’s Championship
There is no clear match right now for the NXT Women’s Championship. We are going to have to wait and see the result of Kairi Sane vs Shayna Baszler at WWE Evolution first.
