— Ladder Match To Become The #1 Contender For The NXT Women’s Championship (CONFIRMED)
WWE has officially confirmed that Takeover: Tampa Bay will feature a ladder match. The winner will become the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
The competitors will be determined by a tournament over the next few weeks. Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, and Tegan Nox have all officially earned their spots after winning their qualifying matches.
My guess is that Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and Candice LeRae will be the final participants. This would be a nice mixture of talent and it would make for a fun match.
I also think that Dakota Kai will end up costing Tegan Nox her chance of winning during this match. This will set up a rematch between them after Takeover: Tampa Bay.
Winner Prediction:
- I am going with Io Shirai winning. Shirai vs Charlotte Flair or Shirai vs Rhea Ripley are both money feuds that I want to see.
2) Tommaso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano
— ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ Match (PREDICTION)
It is clear that we will be getting Tommaso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Tampa Bay.
I think that WWE will be adding a stipulation to their match. It will either be the first-ever NXT Hell in a Cell match. Or it will be something like a ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match. As of right now, I am leaning towards the ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match but I would be fine with either.
These two have faced off so many times already but they always deliver in the ring. There is a new dynamic at play this time as well. Gargano will be the heel and Ciampa will be the babyface. That isn’t something we have seen and I am excited to see it play out.
Winner Prediction:
- If it is a Loser Leaves NXT match, I see Tommaso Ciampa winning. Johnny Gargano has done just about everything in NXT and I would like to see him mix it up with guys on RAW and Smackdown. It is time for one of them to move on and this could be a perfect way to do it.
