NXT taped their shows for January 2017 on Thursday night at Full Sail University. The shows will air January 11th, 18th and 25th on the WWE Network. This will lead into NXT Takeover: San Antonio on the 28th of January. Obvious spoiler warning below.
January 11th episode:
- Billie Kay & Peyton Royce attack Asuka as she enters Full Sail.
- Billie Kay & Peyton Royce defeat Macey Estrella & Mary Dobson.
- After the match they call out Asuka. Asuka comes to the ring and gets beat down by the two of them. Nikki Cross makes the save. Ends up taking out Asuka with a drop-kick.
- Elias Samson defeated Johnathan Cruz.
- Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Oney Lorcan.
- Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa retain the NXT Tag Team Titles against The Revival.
- The Authors of Pain take out DIY after the match.
January 18th episode
- Nikki Cross defeated Kennadi Brink.
- Rodrick Strong defeated Steve Cutler.
- Tye Dillinger cuts a promo. Interrupted by Sanity. Eric Young tries to get him to join the group, Dillinger refuses. Big Damo comes to the ring and takes out Tye, accepting Sanity’s offer.
- Ember Moon defeated Liv Morgan.
- Contract signing between Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode for their NXT Championship match at NXT Takeover: San Antonio.
- Nakamura compares Roode to a Shiba Inu and says in San Antonio, he’s going to kick his head off, and it will be glorious.

January 25th episode
- Aliyah defeated Mandy Rose.
- No Way Jose defeated Kona Reeves.
- Elias Samson interrupts after the match and tries to attack Jose but is knocked down and retreats.
- Eric Young defeated Chris Atkins.
- TM-61 defeated The Revival.
- The Revival attacks TM-61 after the match, injuring the leg of Shane Thorne.
- William Regal announces Asuka vs. Peyton Royce vs. Billie Kay vs. Nikki Cross for the Women’s Title at NXT Takeover.
- Shinsuke Nakamura and Tajiri defeated Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe.
- Kassius Ohno makes his NXT Return after the match in a suit. He elbows the NXT Title off the shoulder of Shinsuke Nakamura before leaving.
