During RAW this week, there was a weird moment. It looked as if a fan in a suit was attempting to run into the ring but he was stopped by security. After the show came back from commercial break, it was revealed that it was actually the wedding official who was tackled by security.
Many assumed that security messed up and didn’t know that the guy was supposed to be involved in the segment. That doesn’t appear to be the case though.
According to a Reddit user (who has been extremely accurate in the past with backstage information), this segment was a work. Here is what they posted:
Sorry to disappoint you guys…
But security tackling the priest in the ring was part of the script for the show.

IN-ARENA: An Unidentified Man (The Wedding Official) is attempting to get in the ring when he is confronted by security…
My Take:
- I do believe this because they mentioned it on commentary. Usually when something like that happens, WWE doesn’t address it. Still, it is weird for them to script something like that.
