More Backstage News On The Creative Direction For Becky Lynch Moving Forward

There was a report that was floating around after Hell in a Cell that suggested Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair didn’t go as WWE planned from a fan reaction point of view. As we saw at the end of the match, Becky refused a handshake from Charlotte and held the Title over her head. The report suggested that WWE was hoping to get some cheers for Charlotte, with this being viewed as a heel move by Becky.

We have some more news to pass your way about Becky’s creative direction moving forward. It turns out that her direction have been changed by WWE.

According to a report from John Pollock of POST Wrestling, the original plan for Becky was to turn her into a full-blown heel. After the positive crowd reaction that she received during Summerslam, WWE decided to make it more about Becky and Charlotte having issues with one another, instead of pushing Becky as a strong heel. Pollock says that he has been told that this direction for Becky has now changed.

According to Pollock, Becky is still technically considered a heel by WWE (even though fans don’t want to boo her). He also says that there are no plans to turn Charlotte Flair heel in this feud.

Ryan Satin says that he has heard something similar via multiple sources:

That seems to go along with the idea that WWE was hoping for some boos towards Becky at the end of their match at Hell in a Cell.
