We have some news to pass your way about the Money in the Bank PPV. Specifically, about a match that was cut short.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWinsider, the United States Championship match between Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe was cut short.
For those who missed it, Mysterio won the Title from Joe in a controversial finish. One of Joe’s shoulders was off the mat for the three-count but the referee counted it anyway.
According to Johnson, the match was cut short due to blood.
Samoa Joe was believed to have suffered a broken nose during the match, which was the reason why it ended early.
According to Johnson, the post-match beatdown went down as planned. The match was supposed to be longer though.
