You have likely heard the rumors about Vince McMahon potentially bringing back the XFL. The rumors first began from Brad Shepard, who Tweeted that McMahon is “looking to bring back the XFL and may announce it on January 25th, 2018”. Later, it was reported that Vince had sold $100 million worth of WWE stock to fund his new ‘Alpha Entertainment’ venture.
We have a major update on the return of the XFL.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE’s production team has been working on video content to promote the return of the XFL.
According to the report, the plan is for the XFL to officially return in 2020.

The reason for the delay is so they can build a proper infrastructure, including players and coaches. One of the biggest problems of the original XFL was that they rushed into things. Vince will reportedly not be making that same mistake again.
Looks like this is really happening and it is only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.
