Renee Young was recently a guest on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast. During the interview, Renee spoke on a wide variety of topics about her life and career so far in WWE.
One of the interesting parts was when Lilian opened up about some early insecurities that she had about Renee. This was when Renee first started with WWE.
Here is what Lilian had to say about Renee (quote via Wrestlezone):
“I’ve got to tell you something. You’re somebody that came in and I’ve got to be upfront with you. I will say, I guess this is natural, usually, I don’t have this that flares up in me; but, I literally had this insecurity thing that came all over me. All of a sudden I was like, ‘Oh my God, am I being replaced?’
All these things happened that I never told you. You know why too? I saw you on-screen and was like, ‘She’s really good. She’s really good”
Lilian also joked about this being the same as when a wrestler worries about another wrestler taking their spot on the card. They both had a laugh about it and talked about the entertainment industry having a lot of insecurity in it.
They quickly became friends and Renee added that Lilian was a big help to her when she first started out.
On a related note, Renee recently revealed the original name that WWE pitched to her.
