CM Punk UFC Fight. It looks like we might finally have a fight date for Punk!
Who would have thought that Brock Lesnar would be competing in the Octagon before the first CM Punk UFC fight??? Fans have been waiting since Punk signed with the UFC a couple years ago now to see him compete. It looks like we might have a date for the first CM Punk UFC fight and it might even ironically enough have a WWE connection.
According to Jeremy Botter, CM Punk vs Mickey Gall is scheduled for the UFC 202 event, which is headlined by the Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz re-match.
Oh. And CM Punk vs. Mickey Gall is targeted for August 20. Same night as Diaz/McGregor. Hope I didn’t ruin any announcements.

Where it becomes interesting is that August 20th is actually the night before WWE Summerslam 2016. With the news of Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC under a WWE contract, it is being speculated that UFC will be doing some promotion for the Summerslam event as part of the deal to allow Lesnar to compete in the octagon for UFC 200.
Where this becomes a bit ironic is any fight card with CM Punk is going to have many references to the WWE. Now Vince McMahon will be capitalizing on Punk fighting by promoting Summerslam on the same night. Another reminder for everyone that Vince McMahon always wins!!!
