Chris Jericho shocked the wrestling world by defeating Kevin Owens at the Payback pay-per-view. As a result, he walked out as the new United States Champion. Thanks to a stipulation prior to the match, Jericho also solidified a spot on Smackdown Live’s roster with the win.
The only thing mentioned in the stipulation was that Jericho would be either moving to Smackdown or staying on RAW. There was no mention of Owens.
This confused many fans as it wasn’t clear if Owens will be staying on Smackdown with the loss or he would take Jericho’s place on RAW.
WWE producer: Road Dogg clarified the situation on Twitter, saying that Owens is STILL on Smackdown Live after the loss:
@BlueThunderKOS @AlexaBliss_WWE @itsBayleyWWE @FightOwensFight is a SDLive talent. And now, @IAmJericho , new US Champ, is too!

There you have it. Hopefully this clears everything up for you. The real winners after Payback are Smackdown as they get to keep Owens and acquire Jericho.

Raw, Smackdown. KO will get buried on either show
Sad, but true.
