3) John Cena Starts A Feud With Daniel Bryan
Another option for John Cena’s return would be for him to start a feud with Daniel Bryan on the episode.
Cena and Bryan have a lot of history with one another. Inside of the ring, they have wrestled on multiple occasions. Outside of the ring, they were essentially brothers-in-law when Cena dated Nikki Bella for several years. This is definitely a feud that I could see WWE exploring at some point.
Daniel could interrupt Cena’s segment on Smackdown and they could exchange some words. I would love to hear some promo battles between them as things would likely get really personal. This would ultimately plant the seeds for them to face off at Wrestlemania 36.
Cena vs Bryan seems like a solid option for Wrestlemania 36 and I could see WWE going in that direction.
2) John Cena Goes After The Intercontinental Championship
The only Title that John Cena has never won in WWE is the Intercontinental Championship. It is the only Title that he needs in order to become a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.
I could definitely see Cena cutting a promo and saying that the Intercontinental Title is the only thing that he has left to accomplish in WWE.
This would ultimately set up a match between John Cena and Braun Strowman for Wrestlemania 36. That could be a decent match for the event.
