3) John Cena Feuds With Samoa Joe
John Cena and Samoa Joe both started their careers together in Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). I think that it would be amazing to see a feud between them on WWE television before Cena hangs up the boots.
There is a ton of story to tell here. Both guys took drastically different paths to get to where they are today. Cena joined WWE in 2002 and remained as one of the top guys in the company for 15 years. Joe, on the other hand, spent most of his career on the independent scene and other wrestling promotions.
I would love to see them feud with one another on WWE television. The story would be amazing and they could blend some reality into it. Plus, the promos between them would be insane.
I think that Cena needs to feud with Joe before he retires. It just needs to happen.
2) John Cena Chases His 17th World Championship
As most fans know, John Cena is currently sitting at 16 World Championship reigns in his career. That ties him with Ric Flair, who also had 16 World Title reigns that are officially recognized by WWE.
I am not going to debate with you about how many reigns Flair really had or who was the better Champion. That is something that will be argued for many years to come. WWE only officially recognizes 16 reigns from Flair and that’s what I have to base this on.
Whenever Cena returns to WWE television, they could instantly put him into a match for the WWE Championship or the WWE Universal Championship. The storyline would be simple, Cena is trying to break Ric Flair’s record.
This doesn’t mean that Cena has to win the Title and break the record. This would just be an interesting storyline and would make for a really fun match at a WWE PPV.
