John Cena has been slowly building up a solid Hollywood resume over the past few years. This includes appearances in the films: ‘Sisters’, ‘Trainwreck’ and ‘Daddy’s Home’. He will also be appearing in a few more films this year, including a bigger role in the ‘Daddy’s Home’ sequel and ‘the Pact’.
It was announced this week that Cena is joining a big movie franchise: Transformers!
According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, Cena has landed a lead role in the ‘Transformers’ spinoff film titled: ‘Bumblebee’.
This film will serve as a prequel in the Transformers series and will focus on the yellow and black bot: Bumblebee. It will be released on December 21st, 2018.
Cena commented on joining the franchise on Twitter:
