Jim Ross Health Update, Bray Wyatt As A Babyface, Brock Lesnar’s Value If He Loses at UFC 200

Jim Ross Health Update

Some great news from legendary commentator Jim Ross this week. He says that he had his stitches removed for a skin cancer issue but he is now all clear. Here was the tweet:

Always great to hear positive news. We wish JR the absolute best moving forward with his health and we look forward to following him in New Japan and beyond!

Jim Ross also updated the Q&A section on his website (JRSBARBQ,com) . Here were some of the highlights:

If Bray Wyatt can be a successful Babyface in the WWE:

“Bray has to change nothing to be a character ‘face IMO. The fans embrace him and support him positively with their fire fly routine. To me, it’s a no brainer” (Source: JRSBARBQ).

If losing at UFC 200 to Mark Hunt will hurt Brock Lesnar’s WWE character moving forward:

“I do not think that the outcome of a legit sports event such as UFC 200  has any barring on how one is presented and perceived in a show biz presentation. Lesnar is a special talent and will stay such no matter the outcome vs Mark Hunt” (Source: JRSBARBQ).

I agree with JR on both accounts here. I think Bray will be okay regardless if he is a heel or babyface.

I also think a loss doesn’t really matter for Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 from a WWE perspective. If he loses, they can build him as a pissed off beast who wants to take it out on the entire roster. If he wins, you book him as a more legit threat than he already was before. Win-Win for the WWE.
