One of the most popular WWE stars of the early 2000’s was Jeff Hardy. Jeff was known as the high flying and crazy member of the Hardy Boyz alongside his brother Matt. Since his WWE departure several years ago, fans have been begging for him to return. Jeff recently was interviewed by the legendary commentator Jim Ross on The Ross Report where they spoke on a wide variety of topics to promote the upcoming Oklamania show.
JR brought up Jeff Hardy’s ladder match with the Undertaker on RAW (July 1st 2002). The match was for the WWE Championship and really cemented Jeff as a singles star. He took everything Undertaker had to offer and kept asking for more. One of the most famous calls is from Jim Ross saying: “Climb The Ladder Kid, Make Yourself Famous!”. Jeff talked briefly about that match and how fans still ask him about it today.
“All the time man. We were doing a signing before the show Saturday in Hickory, North Carolina and I don’t know how many people said ‘man the best match you’ve ever had man was you and ‘taker it was so good’. And you’re commentary always comes up in the balance as well, like Oh My God just everything was so perfect in that match” (Source: The Ross Report).
Jeff also says that he understands a lot of fans want him back in the WWE, but he works hard and is enjoying himself in TNA right now:
“I think the majority of my fans just want to see me back in WWE, it doesn’t make me sick and I understand where they are coming from but I just wish we [TNA] were on a bigger platform” (Source: The Ross Report).
