News broke on Wednesday that James Ellsworth had been released by WWE. Ellsworth had been featured a lot on WWE television over the past year. He went from loveable jobber to defeating AJ Styles a few times on Smackdown Live. He also managed Carmella for the past few months.
It appears as if Ellsworth’s co-workers in WWE really enjoyed their time working with him. Here are some of their Tweets to him:
The world would be a much better place with more people like @realellsworth! Undeniable work ethic and a great attitude. Thanks for letting millions of people live vicariously through you! https://t.co/2NAjnn2YIp

Classy statement. Be very proud of what you accomplished, Pretty Jimmy. Very few performers get to live the WWE dream. Chin up (figuratively), strong, keep moving forward.. Seeya down the road, pal. https://t.co/1IGPVSZVJN

Dolph Ziggler managed to stay in character and pay tribute to Ellsworth at the same time
everyones favorite underdog, quietly & humbly lived his dream on tv, gave others hope, did what was asked, made friends along the way & almost became WORLD CHAMP? Gross! You are what is wrong with pro wrestling @realellsworth
Good riddance!
