Brock Lesnar made a surprise appearance on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. Brock challenged Kofi Kingston to a WWE Championship match and he accepted.
This WWE Title match will be taking place on the October 4th edition of Smackdown, which is also the debut episode of the blue brand on FOX.
We have a really interesting note to pass your way about Brock wrestling on this episode.
This will be Brock’s first match on either RAW or Smackdown in 15 years. You read that correctly. His first match on free television in 15 years.
Brock’s last match on television came on the March 2nd, 2004 edition of Smackdown. Brock defeated Hardcore Holly on that episode.
This is a pretty crazy stat, considering Brock has been a big part of WWE for a good chunk of those 15 years. It really shows you how much he has served as a prizefighter for so many years. It also shows us how big of a deal this FOX debut is for WWE. They are really pulling out all of the stops.
