News broke this week that WWE is canceling the upcoming Smackdown live event in Corbin, Kentucky. This was supposed to take place on Monday, May 6th.
It turns out that there is an interesting reason why WWE canceled this show.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is loading up RAW with Superstars from both brands. Here is a quote:
The decision was made over the last several days and was done to send several Smackdown stars to that night’s Monday Night Raw to assist in the build for Money in the Bank.
You wouldn’t be wrong in assuming the ratings drop last week was also a factor in the decision, as Roman Reigns has already gone on his Twitter to say he will be on Raw to handle “unfinished business.” –
Looks like we could be seeing a handful of Superstars from Smackdown appearing on RAW this week.
