NXT will officially be moving over to the USA Network on September 18th. The show will also be extending to two-hours when it does move.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the first two episodes will only feature the first hour on the USA Network.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
While WWE NXT will be expanding into a two-hour weekly series, it will not initially be two hours on the USA Network.
PWInsider.com has exclusively confirmed with WWE sources that the 9/18 and 9/25 episodes of WWE NXT will air live from 8 PM – 9 PM Eastern on the USA Network from Full Sail Live. The second hour of those episodes will then air live on the WWE Network. So, hour one on USA. Hour two on the WWE Network.
Starting Wednesday 10/2, NXT will air their complete two hour live broadcasts on the USA Network and that will be the norm from that point on.
That means NXT won’t officially be 2-hours on the USA Network until October 2nd, which happens to be the same night that AEW’s new television show will debut on TNT.
