We have some injury updates to pass your way about a handful of WWE Superstars. These updates come from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
– Sami Zayn is expected to be out for a minimum of six more months. He underwent his second surgery for a torn rotator cuff this week.
– Meltzer says that Nia Jax is currently taking time off to “heal up”. She hasn’t been backstage at the past few episodes of Monday Night RAW.
– Matt Hardy has been posting a lot of cryptic Tweets over the past several days. Meltzer says that Matt has been dealing with some pain for a while now. He is apparently going to start a new rehab method that hopefully will help with the pain.
– Meltzer says that Jason Jordan’s neck injury situation after surgery is worse than expected. He is not expected to return anytime soon. Jordan had surgery back in February.
– Backstage interviewer Dasha Fuentes had surgery this week to repair a torn Achilles tendon.
– Meltzer also confirmed the recent report that suggested Dean Ambrose is close to returning. Meltzer says that Dean is expected back at any time now.
