Tributes have been pouring in for Roman Reigns after news that his Leukemia has returned after 11 years. Many wrestlers have been sharing stories about how great of a locker room leader that Reigns is and how much they respect him.
I stumbled upon a pretty awesome story that I wanted to share. An independent wrestler shared what Roman did for him when he was first starting out in his career.
Connor Braxton is a graduate of Seth Rollins’ wrestling school, The Black & Brave Wrestling Academy. Prior to his first-ever match, he found himself without a pair of wrestling boots and no money to pay for them.
In his search for boots, it turned out that Roman Reigns was selling a pair at the time. Instead of taking money from Braxton, Reigns gifted them to him for the good of the wrestling business:
“Roman asked if you were a good brother, and said you can just have them. He said just make sure you pass on the favor to someone for the good of the wrestling business”.
Here is the full story from Braxton:

Pretty cool to hear stories like that.
On a related note, here is the classy response from NJPW in regards to the news about Reigns.
